Virtus.pro announces signing long-term contracts with the Counter-Strike: Global Division roster
Poland, December 17, 2016 – The Virtus.pro Counter-Strike: Global Offensive players have signed new contracts with the organization. They have been representing Virtus.pro since the beginning of 2014. The renewed contracts are valid until the end of 2020, which makes it the largest agreement between players and organization in the history of eSports in terms of both duration and total contract value.
Roman Dvoryankin, Virtus.pro General Manager is quoted as saying: "For the next four years the best team in the world will continue playing for our organization, and I am sure we are going to have a lot of victories and pleasant moments as well as a lot of work going forward. I would like to thank the guys for their professional approach in the negotiations. This extended form of agreements is yet another step towards implementing more understandable and civilized esports rules, where the organizations and players work together for their fans."
Founded in 2003, Virtus.pro is Russia’s first professional esports organization. Virtus.pro currently manages teams within Dota 2, Counter-Strike, League of Legends and Hearthstone. The organization’s teams have become champions in Russia and CIS multiple times as well as winning international tournaments throughout the years.
