Virtus.pro’s Dota 2 team is now a two-time champion of the ESL One tournament series
Virtus.pro’s Dota 2 roster became the first in esports history to win two ESL One Majors in Dota 2. In the final of ESL Katowice 2018, held in Poland on February 20–25, the Bears won a confident 3-1 against Vici Gaming, earning $400,000 in prize money as well as 750 DPC points towards participating in the main esports event of the year, The International 2018. A Virtus.pro player, Vladimir “RodjER” Nikogosyan, was deemed the tournament’s MVP.
Winning the Major in Katowice has placed the CIS-based team in the top spot of the global ranking ahead of The International 2018. Virtus.pro currently leads with 4,950 points, followed by Team Secret with 4,260.
