Virtus.pro wins The Summit 7
Virtus.pro has won the seventh Dota 2 tournament in the Summit series. In the grand final, Alexey “Solo” Berezin’s squad won 3-2 against Team Secret. The champion’s title earned the CIS-based team $42,500.
The Summit 7 was held on July 14–18 at the Beyond the Summit House in Los Angeles. Teams from America, Europe, China and the CIS competed for a $100,000 prize pool.
Virtus.pro is Russia’s first professional esports organization, founded in 2003. Virtus.pro currently has a presence in Dota 2, Counter-Strike, Quake Champions, Hearthstone and League of Legends. The organization’s teams have been multiple champions of Russia and the CIS, and have won a number of international tournaments.
